Through the annual Exercise Gemini, Norwegian authorities recently tested their ability to respond to one of the most challenging scenarios imaginable: the hostile takeover of an offshore oil and gas platform 🌊

Cooperation between vessels working on offshore wind farms in Poland's exclusive economic zone and the Maritime Search and Rescue Service (SAR) is a recurring theme at almost every offshore congress and industry meeting. Plans, instructions and procedures exist on paper - but their full effect shows only once the scenarios are rehearsed in real conditions. One such scenario has now been put to the test in the bay: the approach manoeuvre of the rescue vessel Bryza to the crew transfer vessel (CTV) Aquata 🌊

On 12 June, Poland’s F-35A Husarz fighter jets will conduct a ceremonial flypast over Gdańsk, Warsaw and Kraków. While the event will offer the public a rare opportunity to see the most advanced combat aircraft ever acquired by the Polish Air Force, its significance extends far beyond a public display. The flyover marks a symbolic transition from procurement and training to the practical integration of the F-35 system into the operational structure of the Polish Armed Forces ✈

From April 2026, responsibility for the security of control systems – in ports, shipyards, terminals and at offshore wind farms – no longer stops at the IT department. Poland's overhaul of its National Cybersecurity System Act (KSC), transposing the EU's NIS2 Directive, shifts both the obligations and the penalties onto company boards. For a maritime sector built on sprawling operational technology (OT), it is a strategic shift – all the more so because, at the turn of 2025 and 2026, Poland suffered a documented, destructive attack on its energy infrastructure 💻 Enterosoft
