We’re starting the year slowly and with intention – and that’s reflected in how we listen, and in the music that moves us at the beginning of the year. 😌
Artists who trust intuition, collaboration, and emotional clarity. Tracks that unfold gently, guided by groove, space, and feeling rather than urgency.🎶

Discover more about these sounds in our latest article, and spend time with the music inside our newly updated DINYA Weekly Mixtape. (link in bio) ✨

Music to return to. Music that stays.

🌼🎶 From the hills of Lebanon to the streets of Istanbul, from India’s ocean winds to Venetian whispers, Namritha Nori carries her roots and soul across continents. In her latest album Traces & Roots, she invites us to explore the colors, scents, and rhythms of her heritage.

🌍 “I need movement, connection with my roots, and the music of those places. Arrangements can happen in the studio, but if they took away my freedom to travel, I would no longer be able to compose.”

In her exclusive interview for Dinya, Namritha opens up about belonging, identity, and the journeys within herself, revealing the stories and inspirations that shape her music.

🔥 Meet ROSEYE 🔥
Born in Amsterdam, rooted across Europe, and blooming with fierce tenderness, their sound fuses soul, jazz, hip-hop, and electronic into something unmistakably alive.

In our latest interview, we go deep with the band about turning pain into power, navigating spirituality and politics through music, and building trust in the creative process. Fronted by the radiant Tallulah Rose, ROSEYE’s music is full of heart, fire, healing – and joy.

💫 Don’t miss their A to JazZ Festival performance this Saturday, July 5th, at 19:00 in Sofia.

🌿 “Love is acceptance – and with acceptance, it can really win.” As South African visionary Sibusile Xaba returns to Sofia for A to JazZ Festival, we revisit a moment of quiet magic: a heartfelt conversation with Sibusile & fellow artist Naftali about music, spirit, healing, and the courage to be human.
Re-published from our archives, this interview reads like an open letter of love — timeless, tender, and powerful.

Sofia’s most vibrant Latin celebration is back — Ocho Latin Festival 2025! 🥳 And we at Dinya are excited to support this year’s edition as media partners and to bring you a closer look at what makes this festival so special.

We spoke with the people behind the festival to uncover the story, the spirit, and the passion driving it forward — how just two musicians turned an idea into a celebration of rhythm, identity, and community.

🚂 This year’s location — Rotonda Square in front of Sofia’s Central Railway Station — is no coincidence. Often overlooked, the space has been deliberately chosen by the organizers as a symbol of movement, crossing paths, and cultural connection. On June 27 and 28, it will come alive with concerts, dance classes, workshops, cocktails, and street food inspired by the urban spirit of Latin America.

From Cuban Soul to Cholo Chicha, from Afro-Peruvian grooves to Argentine tango — discover artist highlights, musical insights, and what makes this edition unique in our feature at www.dinya.eu/en/ocho-latin-festival-en/

We’ve also created a special Spotify playlist featuring music from this year’s performers, past festival editions, and other Latin sounds inspired by the Ocho vibe.

🔥 Meet the Lioness of Funsi 🔥 Before she lit up global stages with her bold rhythms, buffalo-horn braids, and warrior joy, Wiyaala was a little girl drumming in a northern Ghanaian church and dancing under the moonlight with her community.

In our new feature at Dinya, she opens up about ancestral memories, designing her own costumes, singing in Sissala, Waala & English - and why joy is her sharpest weapon. ✨

Plus: Don’t miss her concert in Sofia with her band The Yaga Yagas on May 17, presented by АфриКая / AfriKaia, Club Pave and Alarma Punk Jazz. A night of Afro-beats, resistance, and rhythm like you’ve never seen before!

We’re headed to Athens! 🎉

Our editor-in-chief, Sofia from Sofia, will be representing DINYA Magazine at Athens Music Week – both as a moderator and speaker. She’ll be leading a timely roundtable called “Redesigning belonging: How creativity opens space for inclusion and participation,” exploring how creative practices can drive change, inclusion, and resilience across communities.

She’ll also join the panel “Found or forgotten? How artists can be discovered,” diving into how artists can gain visibility in a crowded digital world.

Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes updates from Athens – and if you’re attending, come say hello! 👋

🌍 From the alleys of Addis Ababa to the underground of Lyon, a storm is brewing.
UKANDANZ isn’t just a band — it’s a pulse, a cry, a dance on the edge of chaos. The voice of Asnake Gebreyes cuts through electric riffs and wild sax lines like thunder over desert skies.

🔥 This is music that remembers. Music that resists. Music that moves. Read the full story at www.dinya.eu/en/ukandanz-en
