Police in Hartlepool are appealing for anyone with doorbell footage or CCTV to come forward after an XL Bully attacked another dog in the town on Hartfields.
At around 10:20am on Monday 8th December, a man walking an XL Bully walked past a couple who were walking their Staffordshire Bull Terrier on Hartfields, between Cranesbill Avenue and Easington Road (A179).
The larger dog grabbed the Staffy by the neck, but it was reported that the owner of the XL Bully did not attempt to stop his dog at any point and the owner of the smaller dog had to prize the Bully off his dog. The Staffy sustained some injuries, but thankfully nothing life threatening.
Police are hoping to identify the dog and its owner. The dog is described as white with black spots and was wearing a green collar with a silver chain attached. The Bully’s owner is described as white, 6’2” tall and medium build. He was wearing dark clothing and had his hood up over his head.
Anyone who knows who this dog and owner are, or anyone who has footage of the incident or the dog walkers, can call 101 quoting reference SE25234803.
