DISCOVERING ARUNACHAL PART 3

Leaving Anini behind, we started another unforgettable drive through the remote landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh, heading towards Acheso.

The plan was simple — reach a beautiful riverside campsite, stay for one night and continue the journey the next morning.

But the moment we reached this place, we knew one night would never be enough. ❤️

Surrounded by pristine mountains, crystal-clear water and landscapes that honestly looked too beautiful to be real, we decided to extend our stay for another night.

One of the most magical moments was witnessing the meeting of pristine waters, right in the middle of this untouched wilderness. No crowds, no noise, no rush — just nature in its purest form.

The drive from Anini to Acheso was an adventure in itself — remote roads, dramatic mountains, rivers and landscapes changing around every bend.

Discovering Arunachal – Episode 2 | Roing to Anini | One of India’s Toughest Road Trips 🇮🇳🏔️

In Episode 2 of our Discovering Arunachal series, we leave the beautiful town of Roing and begin one of the most adventurous road journeys in India—towards the remote paradise of Anini in Dibang Valley.

The journey is approximately 235 km and can take 8–10+ hours, depending on weather, landslides, and road conditions. While the scenery is absolutely breathtaking, be prepared for long stretches of broken roads, river crossings, dust, and challenging terrain. (Dibang Valley⁠)

Important Travel Tips:
• ✅ An Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for all Indian tourists visiting Arunachal Pradesh. You can apply online before your trip or obtain it at designated entry points. (Dibang Valley⁠)
• ⛽ Fuel up in Roing before leaving. There are only two fuel stations in Roing, and there are no reliable fuel pumps for most of the journey towards Anini, so plan accordingly.
• 🚙 A high-ground-clearance SUV is highly recommended, especially during the monsoon.
• 🌧️ Landslides and road closures are common, so always check local road conditions before starting your journey. (Reddit⁠)
