Tourism Department Kashmir In Collaboration With NTTA, NLCO Leads Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign At Zabarwan Park
Srinagar: As a part of ongoing UT wide campaign on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) The Department of Tourism, through Tourist Office Zabarwan Park, conducted a high impact awareness campaign under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Zabarwan Park, at the banks of world famous Dal Lake bringing together institutions, civil society, and students in a unified call for a drug free society.
The programme was organised by the Tourist Office Zabarwan in collaboration with Nigeen Lakes Conservation Organisation (NLCO), Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA), Bilaliya Educational Institute (BEI), J&K Hotel & Restaurant Association (JKHARA), and TAEAM IND. Restaurant. The programme was attended by the officers of the directorate, Mrs. Rehmat Bhat, Assistant Director Tourism , Mr. Manzoor Wangnoo- Chairman NLCO, NTTA and BEI, Mr. Babar Choudhary- President J&K Hotel & Restaurant Association (JKHARA) and TEAM IND. Restaurant, the school children from two leading schools of the Srinagar city, Bilaliya Educational Institute Lalbazar and International Delhi Public School Zakura, tourism stakeholders, shikara and houseboat operators, tourists and public.
Incharge Tourist Office Zabarwan park, Mrs. Shaista delivered a key note address and welcomed the participants of the programme.The event inaugurated with a plantation drive, setting the tone for responsible action. Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, who attended as Chief Guest, planted saplings along with the park incharge, marking a symbolic commitment towards a healthier environment and society.
Students from BEI and IDPS spoke with clarity and conviction on the growing drug menace, calling for awareness and vigilance. School principals echoed the need for action on the ground and collective responsibility to safeguard the future.
