RESULTS: The final between Otjakapuuo peers from and Ovinjuru FC’s A team ended in a deadlock after both sides found the back of the net twice in the regulation time on Sunday at OvinjuruSport field.

Otjakapuuo peers went home with an upperhand as they defeated Ovinjuru’s B team 2-0 in the Saturday fixtures. The games were part of the peers’ year-end function.

RESULTS: Iwisa netball team stunned Black Amakhosi 21-10 in the ongoing Rre Striker Makgone football and netball tournament underway at Metsweding Sports Complex Epukiro RC in the Omaheke region’s Okorukambe constituency.

In the football competition, Iwisa FC will face Shakes FC in the first semifinal, whereas Asbonge FC will lock horns with Black Amakhosi FC in the second semifinal.

Farm owner Kaitjombiri Katjirua informed Nampa that no serious injuries to humans or animals have been reported so far.

Ngairorue Blophy Hangero scored the goal for Otjakapuuo peers in the second half.

CHRISTMAS BABIES: Sister Emely Chidolo speaks to Nampa about the Christmas births at Katima Mulilo District Hospital. A total of five babies - two boys and three girls - were delivered on Christmas Day.

The largest, a baby girl weighing 3.9kg, was born via natural delivery at 21h00. This follows a busy previous year in 2024, which saw 10 Christmas Day births.

WINNERS: Ovinjuru FC won the 40th edition of the Epukiro Annual December tournament in the football category staged at Okovimburu’s Lukas Kausaa Nguakapita Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
