• Only applicants who accomplished the Special Screening Interest Survey Form are eligible to participate.

The Webbytes concluded its Editorial Staff Screening for S.Y. 2026–2027 on July 15–16, 2026. While we were able to screen many exceptional students, we understand that some aspiring campus journalists were unable to participate due to unforeseen circumstances.

In line with this, The Webbytes is considering the conduct of a Special Editorial Staff Screening for applicants who missed the initial schedule. Applications are once again open to students who are passionate about campus journalism and eager to become part of revealing the freedom.

To help us determine the feasibility of conducting the special screening, interested applicants must accomplish the Interest Survey Form linked below. Your response will help us assess the level of interest and prepare the necessary materials and resources should the special screening push through.

📌 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲:
• The Interest Survey Form will close on Monday, July 27, 2026.
• For Radio Broadcasting, we will only be accepting group auditions (teams composed of 7 members).
• Accomplishing the Interest Form does not guarantee that a special screening will be conducted. Further announcements including the venue, time, and other instructions will be posted on The Webbytes' official page should the special screening be approved.
• Former staffers who were unable to attend the initial screening but wish to rejoin the publication must participate in the special screening.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Legazpi City Science High School has officially opened its doors to international educators as it hosts visiting teacher-scholars from the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms program for a weeklong educational exchange.

Upon their arrival, the visiting delegates were welcomed with a traditional Putong ceremony, a celebratory crowning ritual deeply rooted in regional hospitality that honors esteemed guests with local culture tradition.

During the visit, the international scholars will take part in a variety of school activities alongside local mentor teachers. The schedule features interactive tours of the campus robotics facility, practical learning exercises, and collaborative discussions focused on integration of modern classroom technologies like artificial intelligence.

The host school will also highlight its community-focused curriculum by leading sessions on local climate change adaptation and development strategies. School administrators noted that the exchange aims to foster mutual understanding and enhance educational practices through shared global perspectives.

📌 NOTE:

• All interested TV Broadcasting applicants must attend the orientation on July 15 at 4:45 PM in the Grade 12–Smith Room. The screening guidelines, requirements, screening time, and venue will be discussed during the orientation.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Secured a more reliable power infrastructure as Legazpi City Science High School (LegaSci) formally inaugurated a newly installed electrical transformer on June 29, restoring full grid stability across the campus during its "Powering-Up Together" ceremonial lighting.

School Principal Freddierick C. Apuli lauded the local government unit under Mayor Hisham B. Ismail for donating the vital infrastructure to eliminate campus-wide power interruptions and optimize the learning environment.

The ceremony convened key stakeholders, including city engineering officials, faculty, and parent-teacher representatives. Concluding the event, SSLG President Herman Gonzales expressed his gratitude on behalf of the student body, for resolving the campus's operational bottleneck and securing sustainable energy distribution for the academic community.
