𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Legazpi City Science High School (LegaSci) officially welcomed 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐂. 𝐀𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐢 as its new School Principal this Monday, February 16.

Apuli has been an integral part of the LegaSci community, first serving as a teacher and later as Head Teacher. He also acted as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the School Principal before being assigned to lead other public schools in Legazpi City.

Following the Flag Ceremony, a short welcome program was held for the new principal, featuring messages from faculty and staff, as well as welcome-back banners and small tokens from the Citinistas.

Returning to LegaSci, Apuli brings with him years of experience in school leadership and administration as he takes on the responsibility of guiding the school and its academic community forward.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Legazpi City Science High School celebrated its 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 as a science high school with a vibrant program that also marked the annual Family Day on Friday, February 13, attended by Citinistas and their families.

The formal portion of the program included performances by the Argentum Chorale, Cuerdas Legasay, and the Navy Brass Band, leading the Philippine National Anthem and the debut of the school’s updated hymn. A dynamic Opening Salvo by the Sindak-Urayon Dance Troupe also added excitement to the start of the event.

The anniversary was graced by special guests, including Legazpi City Mayor Hisham Ismail, and Albay Governor Noel Rosal, who attended to show their support for the school’s milestone.

The celebration featured interactive games and raffle draws organized by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), keeping students and families entertained. Classrooms became cozy spots for small family gatherings with light refreshments, and the festivities concluded with a lively evening rave party.

Established in 2004 as Legazpi City High School (LCHS), the school officially became a science high school in 2016, marking ten years of progress and excellence in specialized education.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Let us take a look back at the Voices of the Press segment of the Miting de Avance 2026, where candidates from Partidong Mapatagoyam and independent aspirants underwent a thorough and critical questioning process led by the official school publications, The Webbytes and Ang Haraya.

Through this segment, the candidates were challenged to articulate their positions, defend their platforms, and respond to pressing student concerns, underscoring the role of campus journalism in fostering accountability, transparency, and informed student participation.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Supreme Secondary Learner Government officially presents the 14 candidates vying for a seat in the next batch of SSLG officers for A.Y. 2026–2027.

The Miting de Avance kicked off yesterday, February 10, as 12 aspirants from Partido Mapatagoyam and two independent candidates for Grade 8 and 9 Representative took center stage. Each candidate laid out their platforms and addressed pressing questions from the students and faculty of Legazpi City Science High School.

The event unfolded through key segments—Meet the Candidates, SPEAKtinista: The Pulse of LegaSci, and Voices of the Press—all designed to challenge the candidates’ preparedness, principles, and vision for the student body.

Today, February 11, Citinistas will officially cast their votes at the school’s ICT Room, making their voices heard in shaping the next SSLG leadership.

The Webbytes, the official English publication of Legazpi City Science High School, soared high as its representatives clinched victories across multiple categories in the 2026 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held last January 27–30.

Backed by disciplined writing, critical insight, and a shared sense of purpose, the Citinistas representing Legazpi City Science High School and the Legazpi City Division delivered commendable performances, securing recognition among the Bicol Region’s finest campus journalists.

The Webbytes extends its utmost pride and congratulations to all hardworking delegates who poured their talent, effort, and dedication into representing the school with excellence and integrity. However, the true measure of journalism goes beyond medals. Long after the competition ends, its mission remains—to amplify the people’s voice, uphold justice, and defend press freedom wherever truth demands to be told.

Matapos ang dalawang araw ng mga paligsahan sa 2026 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) ng Rehiyong Bicol nitong Enero 27-30, narito na ang mga nangibabaw mula sa mga delegado ng 13 dibisyon ng rehiyon.

Sa tala na 89 puntos, nabawi muli ng 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗽𝗶 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 ang kampyeonato bilang 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 isang taon na ang lumipas nang maputol ang kanilang limang-taong winning streak nila noong 2025 RSPC.
