Parents and students gathered this morning, October 11, at the Legazpi City Science High School covered court for the Family Forum and the oathtaking of School Parents and Teachers Association (SPTA) officers. They then proceeded to their respective classrooms for the Homeroom PTA meeting and the release of first-quarter report cards.
The Family Forum was held in collaboration with the Legazpi Philippines Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Emceed by faculty member Lalaine Apostol, the program began with an opening prayer and the singing of the national anthem, followed by opening remarks from Principal II Eleanor Garcia.
The featured key speakers were CMHA Francheska Lubelle Perez, who discussed su***de prevention, and RGC Desiree Boncacas, who talked about โEmpowering Parents Through Positive Discipline.โ Perezโs session also included an open forum afterward.
Following the talks, the newly elected SPTA officers were formally inducted in an oathtaking ceremony, which was succeeded by the SPTA Presidentโs Hourโan opportunity to present the organizationโs agenda and projects for the academic year.
Afterwards, attendees proceeded to their respective classrooms for the HRPTA meeting and the distribution of first-quarter report cards and merits.
