Today marks the 80th Anniversary of Battle of Simara
TANRO-AW FRIENDSHIP PARK
-On this hill slope was fought the battle for the Liberation of Simara Island between the Japanese forces and a combined Filipino and American forces on March 12-20, 1945. This Friendship Park is marked for posterity.
Let us remember and honor the rich and diverse cultural heritage of our province and the sacrifices made by our ancestors.
