SABI NI FATHER PAUL WOO "ANG ISANG TAONG MAY TAKOT SA DIYOS, HINDI DAPAT MATAKOT. KUNG DIYOS LANG ANG KINAKATAKUTAN NATIN WALA TAYO NG DAPAT IBA PANG KATAKUTAN DAHIL ANG DIYOS AY KASAMA NATIN."

Sa 'king paglalakbay sa bundok ng buhay
Sa ligaya't lumbay maging talang gabay

Mariang ina ko, ako ri'y anak mo
Kay Kristong Kuya ko akayin mo ako
Kay Kristong Kuya ko akayin mo ako

Maging aking tulay sa langit kong pakay
Sa bingit ng hukay tangnan aking kamay

Mariang ina ko, ako ri'y anak mo
Kay Kristong Kuya ko akayin mo ako
Kay Kristong Kuya ko akayin mo ako

Sabihin sa Kanya aking dusa at saya
Ibulong sa Kanya, minamahal ko Siya

Mariang ina ko, ako ri'y anak mo
Kay Kristong Kuya ko akayin mo ako
Kay Kristong Kuya ko akayin mo ako

FEAST DAY OF SAINT MARY MAGDALENE

Saint Mary Magdalene was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who remained faithful to Him throughout His ministry, stood by Him during His crucifixion, witnessed His burial, and became the first person to see and announce His Resurrection. She is honored as a saint because of her deep faith, sincere repentance, unwavering loyalty to Christ, and her role as the first witness of the risen Lord, earning her the title "Apostle to the Apostles." Saint Mary Magdalene is the patron saint of penitents, converts, women, hairdressers, perfumers, and people seeking spiritual renewal and forgiveness. Her life reminds Christians that God's mercy can transform anyone who places their faith in Him.

Saint Mary Magdalene, pray for us.

MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN

“Many are called, but few are chosen.” What did Jesus mean?

Context is everything. That line comes at the end of Jesus’ parable of the wedding banquet (Matthew 22:1–14). A king prepares a wedding feast for his son and sends invitations. The first invitees (symbolic of Israel’s religious elite) refuse, even mistreating the messengers. So the king throws the doors wide open and tells his servants to gather “all they found, both evil and good.” That’s the gospel going global—Jews and Gentiles invited into Christ.

Then there’s the guest without wedding clothes. In the first century, a king would provide wedding garments. So this man’s problem isn’t dress code ignorance—it’s refusal. He tried to attend on his own terms, without the provided garment. Spiritually, that’s trying to enter God’s kingdom without Jesus—rejecting the only “clothing” that makes us acceptable: being clothed with Christ.

So, “many are called” means the invitation truly goes to everyone. God is not playing favorites. The call is universal—whoever believes may come. “Few are chosen” doesn’t mean a secret lottery. In the parable, the “chosen” are simply those who respond God’s way—by receiving the wedding garment (Christ Himself). Those who insist on coming by law, merit, or tradition are self-excluded.

Key takeaways:

👉🏻The call is wide open. Jesus was lifted up to draw all people to Himself (John 12:32). God desires all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:3–4).

👉🏻Being “chosen” equals being in Christ. God chose a way of salvation—His Son. Those who put their faith in Jesus become the “chosen” because they’re united with the Chosen One.

👉🏻It’s not about achieving; it’s about receiving. The king supplies the garment. We don’t bring righteousness; we wear His. In Christ, you’re perfectly cleansed, totally forgiven, and forever welcomed (Hebrews 10:10,14; Ephesians 1:7).

👉🏻No mixture of law and grace. The man without the garment pictures confidence in self. But the law can expose sin, not fix it (Romans 7:5–10). Only grace saves and teaches us to live uprightly (Titus 2:11–12).

💙So if you’ve said yes to Jesus, you are the “chosen”—not because you outperformed others but because you received the gift. You’re clothed forever in Christ’s righteousness, sealed and secure (Ephesians 1:13–14). And that means you don’t live chasing acceptance—you live from it, letting His Spirit express love through you (Galatians 5:22–23).

🌿Short caption option: The invitation is for everyone. The “chosen” are those who wear what the King provides—Christ Himself. Say yes to the garment. Rest in grace. Live loved.
