KING CALLS FOR PEACE AT MKHITSINI
His Majesty King Mswati III has appealed to the people of Mkhitsini to gift him peace, urging the community to bury the hatchet and move forward after the unrest that rocked the chiefdom in 2021.
The unrest started after the tragic shooting of Mlondi Mndzebele by Chief Mfukama Mndzebele, which ignited anger leading to violence, the torching of the chief’s residence and further loss of life

MINISTRY ORDERED TO RESTART EVALUATION OF E400M TENDER:
The Ministry of Health has been ordered to restart the evaluation of a critical E400 million tender for the supply of surgical dressings and sutures.
This follows a ruling by the Independent Review Committee (IRC), which sided with Top EMS Healthcare, a local supplier that challenged its exclusion from the process.

HIS MAJESTY LAUDS INCREASED KING’S GOLF CUP SPONSORSHIP
His Majesty King Mswati III has welcomed the increase in sponsorship for this year’s edition of the King’s Golf Cup, which has grown from E2.8 million to E3.1 million.
The sponsorship was unveiled during a dinner held at Lozitha Royal Palace on Friday, where companies presented their contributions.
The Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ERIC) contributed the largest share with a sponsorship of E1.2 million.

New Manzini Wanderers Director, also former Khubutha MP Mlamuli Mabuza, has been officially unveiled to the team's supporters.
Addressing the supporters during a meeting held at the Manzini Library,Mabuza promised a season of unity and strong competition on the field.
The unveiling was officiated by the Council of Elders, represented by Phizwa Zwane, who welcomed Mabuza into his new role with the club.

TOLISHI ARRESTED IN PIGG’S PEAK
The long arm of the law finally caught up with Siboniso Tolishi Hlophe (30) while he was roaming the streets of Pigg's Peak today.
Hlophe, of Mganwini, was wanted by Mliba Police in connection with two attempted murder cases, whereby he allegedly stabbed two men on the chest with a spear during an altercation at a drinking spot.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service has since extended gratitude to members of the public for the tip-off that led to the arrest of the suspect

The stage at Sidvwashini AMICAAL Centre is on fire, as Changing Lives Association hosts
the Inkondlo Likhaya Lemagugu Poetry Workshop.
From across the border, South Africa’s poets including Umlob’ Shiyakulenga, Ngci’ Indlovulenhle, Unklibikhazibhile, Armstrong, Siko Da Poet and Vuxk Da Mageba, are exchanging verses with some of Eswatini’s finest including Imbongi Yasentfonjeni, Imbongi Yomzulu, Thando Msamaliya, Mabhengeta De Poet and MK Dostraps.
It’s all about healing, empowerment and raw creativity. Voices are rising, stories are flowing and the vibe is truly unstoppable.

INDVUNA 'VIVANE' LEADS OVER 250 IMBALI TO UMKHOSI WOMHLANGA
Over 250 Imbali, led by Indvuna Bongiwe ‘Vivane’ Hlatjwako, joined Umkhosi Womhlanga at Emashobeni Royal Residence.
The maidens delivered reeds before Zulu king, His Majesty King Misuzulu and were led by Princess Tensindiso and Ndlunkulu Sihle kaMawewe.
The Eswatini delegation also included Prince Majaha, Prince Hlangabeza, Imbali Overseer Hlangabeza Mdluli and Attorney General Sifiso ‘Mashampu’ Khumalo.

EMASWATI DIVIDED OVER SA COURT RULING ON SURNAMES:
Most Emaswati have expressed reluctance to embrace the recent South African Constitutional Court ruling that allows men to take their wives’ surnames, saying it clashes with long-standing cultural traditions.
Prominent traditionalist Elliot Mkhatshwa has firmly rejected the ruling, while Traditional Healers Association President Makhanya Makhanya has openly welcomed and endorsed it.

OVER 20 000 JOBS AT RISK-REPORT
According to Business Eswatini, the country is facing a looming labour market crisis as a proposed outright ban on triangular employment threatens to wipe out more than 20 000 jobs, destabilising key economic sectors and imperil business viability across the country. This was revealed in the “Impact Analysis Report on the Prohibition of Triangular Employment,”.
