SWINGIN’ HIS JOHNSON: mayorofdallas vindictively removes police/fire champion & 2022 Law Enforcement Advocate of the Year Cara Mendelsohn for Dallas City Council 12 from the Public Safety committee, replacing her w/ police-defunder “Deeply Unpopular” Gay Donnell Willis Dallas City Council D13 who didn’t even receive a Dallas Police Association FOP 716 endorsement bc she’s awful in every way.

Johnson also replaced Mendelsohn, a Republican, as chair of the ad hoc committee on legislative affairs with jessefordallas, a Democrat.

This is laughable, considering that committee‘s job is lobbying the overwhelmingly Republicans Texas house. Good luck getting your phone calls returned, Jesse!

But why all this hubbub?

Answer: sweet, sweet, childish, petty revenge for not supporting his grand vision for revitalizing & reimagining downtown by replacing City Hall with…something…he doesn’t know…but trust him. It’ll be good.

Bottom line: if you don’t share his tear down city Hall delusion of grandeur, you don’t get to be a committee chair—AND DALLAS WILL SUFFER.

You are not mad enough.

Kennyboi, I don't know you & assume you mean well. But, there is nothing we're lacking in Roth that you can do better. So, running is only going to make your own life needlessly unpleasant.

PLAYING DEFENSE: "Deeply Unpopular" Gay Donnell Willis Dallas City Council D13 shares condolences on NextDoor for everybody who waited 5 hrs at City of Dallas - City Hall
to speak on the Walnut Hill zoning case--even though she's the one who kept them from speaking!

It's like punching someone in the face then saying "I'm really sorry your face hurts!"

Gay closed comments on the post. So, she's at least consistent in saying she wants to hear feedback then shutting down people's ability to give it.

OUTRAGEOUS: Today, 21 District 13 residents sat at City of Dallas - City Hall for five hours to speak against a zoning case in their neighborhood.

Rather than allowing them to be heard, "Deeply Unpopular" District 13 Councilwoman Gay Donnell Willis Dallas City Council D13 made a motion to defer the item, which would force them to come back at a later date if they wanted to speak. Cara Mendelsohn for Dallas City Council 12 tried to give her the opportunity to let them speak first THEN defer. Willis refused.

Willis clearly hates her constituents and has no desire to hear from them.

For somebody who campaigned on "Neighborhoods First!" she sure does puts the people who live in them LAST.

And this is exactly why she's being recalled.

“Bathhouse” Chad West for Dallas City Council Dallas has been the driving force & public face behind the “tear down City Hall” movement from day one—but he’s also been the political fall guy for Mayor Eric Johnson & City Mgr. “Da Kween” Kim Tolbert who are orchestrating everything.

Despite his The Dallas Morning News news editorial saying he doesn’t support vacating city hall, West continues to vote on issues that push the city closer to doing so.

Don’t believe anything West says other than “As you wish”—and only if you’re a developer writing him a check.
