Don’t buy it. He’s just *ahem* swings the other way on the issue as a ruse. Sources inside City Hall have confirmed that West has a long reputation for backstabbing and dishonesty.

NEVER FORGET that Chad has been the principal behind-the-scenes operative of kbtdallascm’s City Hall plan from day one. Everything about it was accelerated through him.

CLOWN CAR: Potential Mayoral contenders from today’s dallasnews

1. This list is a good cross section of everything wrong with Dallas politics. Developers, public sector swamp rats, losers, boomers, & folks who mean well but will be completely ineffective.

2. Gay Willis is no longer Deputy Mayor Pro Tem. Gay Donnell Willis Dallas City Council D13 (She’s also DEEPLY unpopular. See recallgaydwillis.com).

3. paula.blackmon.dallas is desperate to be Mayor but likely won’t run. However, anybody who wants to win east Dallas is going to have to pass her smell test.

4. “Bathhouse” Chad West for Dallas City Council threw away any shot at Mayor when he became the bag man for the destroy City Hall coalition. There’s also an active recall effort against him (recallChadwest.com). Finally, he’ll never win another election after I exposed his use of campaign money on his recreational activities at a DC male bathhouse.

allegedly invited select council members to “her box” at AT&T Stadium to watch the FIFA World Cup game, abandoning the City Council meeting & foregoing important budget and City survey presentations.

My sources tell me Tolbert chartered city-owned transportation to chauffeur the group to and from Arlington, and that the stadium suite may have been part of Dallas’ deal with .

I have filed open records requests to confirm the details.

This behavior by city leaders is not only reprehensible but also exemplary of their utter disregard for their paid duties and the taxpaying citizens who took precious time out of their day to speak before the council.

These people hate you. And until you let that sink in, you’ll never be mad enough to change anything.

CITY COUNCIL DESERTION: If you're waiting for today's City of Dallas - City Hall City Council meeting to resume, it won't.

Office of Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson, Da Kween City Manager Kim Tolbert, & several councilmembers were chauffered in city vans to a FIFA World Cup match in Arlington!

Meanwhile residents who signed up to speak waited all day to address their elected officials.

Also postponed: A briefing on an expensive community survey and the upcoming city budget.

Apparently soccer was deemed more important than doing the job they're paid to do.

Credit where it's due: Bill Roth, Cara Mendelsohn, Kathy Stewart, Maxie Johnson, Paul Ridley, and even the "Deeply Unpopular" Gay Donnell Willis stayed behind and attempted to hear the speakers who took time off work, arranged childcare, and waited hours for their turn at the podium. But they couldn’t make quorum so the meeting is now cancelled.

Reminder: The clowns running Dallas hate you and you’re not mad enough!

I just filed an OIG complaint against Dallas Councilmember Chad West for Dallas City Council for leaking executive session secrets about Thanks-Giving Square to Journalist Robert Wilonsky at The Dallas Morning News.

This is a massive, cut-and-dry violation of City Code Section 12A-6(c), which strictly bans city officials from disclosing to the press information from confidential closed-door discussions.

This is sadly not surprising coming from a Councilmember who thought a D.C. male bathhouse was an appropriate use of campaign donations. Nonetheless, it's time for accountability. I look forward to Dallas media and the OIG investigating this very serious matter. Dallas Express Dallas Observer
