Every year, the front office staff at Star Valley High School clips out pictures and stories involving their students and puts them on their wall. The images continues to grow throughout the year. This is what it looked like at the end of the 2025-26 school. Looks amazing! SVI loves covering our local students in all activities and it's great to see it all at the end of a school year.

Shoutout to the all the staff at the Star Valley Independent! We received this unexpected plaque in the mail today from the Wyoming Press Association, letting us know that SVI is a first place winner and one of the top newspapers in the state. At first we didn't know what it was, so we had to look it up. According to Google, this is a "prestigious" award! 🤣 It's given to the newspaper that wins the most individual awards across all contest categories, including reporting, advertising and photography. Takes a whole team to do what we do and they are all fantastic at it!

An open house was held Wednesday to showcase a new home in Afton built by students at Star Valley High School. The program is part of a partnership between the school, the Lcsd2 Education Foundation and the Bank of Star Valley who provides the financing. The home will soon be listed for sale, with proceeds used to help finance the next one. Find more details in the upcoming June 3 edition of the Star Valley Independent. Feeding Lincoln County: A semi full of food was delivered to Lincoln County Wednesday by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A group of volunteers met in Afton to unload, sort and distribute the donation to food banks in Alpine, Thayne, Afton, Cokeville and Kemmerer. BREAKING: On Tuesday afternoon, May 26, a Lincoln County Jury found Star Valley Ranch Resident Jared Erickson not guilty for murder charges in relation to the 2024 death of his wife, Tennille Erickson. According to sources, the ruling is a complete acquittal and all charges against Erickson have been dropped. SVI is currently confirming details.
