Shopping for a travel camera gets overwhelming ridiculously fast.

Full frame or crop sensor? Mirrorless or DSLR? Compact camera or phone? How much should you spend? And do you really need the camera the internet insists is “the best”?

Probably not.

I created a practical guide to the best cameras for travel photography based on how you actually travel—not just which camera has the fanciest specifications.

It includes recommendations for:

• Beginners
• Adventure and outdoor photographers
• Wildlife lovers
• Travelers who want something small
• Photographers wanting one versatile camera
• Anyone wondering whether their phone is already enough

The goal is simple: choose the camera that fits your adventures, your budget, and your willingness to carry it—then stop researching and go photograph something.

I joined Jessie from Jessie on a Journey on the Profitable Travel Blogger Podcast to talk about taking pro-level photos…even if you’re a total beginner.

We chatted simple photography tips, adventure, and how to make better photos without needing $$$$ gear.

I just saw a photographer getting wayyyy too close to a bear cub to the point where it was getting visably annoyed and stressed out.

I get it...we all want the shot, but something about it just made me feel so icky.

If you are a photographer, what are your thoughts on this?

I’ve spent so much time photographing bears and eagles in Alaska that I almost forgot what I look like. 😂

Rare wildlife sighting: the photographer in front of the camera. 📸🐻🦅

Apologies for being MIA. I was temporarily unavailable due to ✨frolicking through the Canadian wilderness✨.

Please accept these photos as my formal apology 📸🇨🇦🥾

150+ photos to take before you die. 📸🌎

Okay, maybe that sounds slightly dramatic.

But I’ve had a photography bucket list running around in my brain for YEARS.

So I created a giant list of 150+ photography experiences spanning landscapes, wildlife, night photography, weather, water, adventure, culture, and more.

Fair warning: opening this may result in spontaneous flight searches. 😂
