Strong Storms Possible, Watch Unlikely This Evening ⛈️

The area in BROWN has a 20% chance of seeing a Severe T'Storm Watch later today. The picture also shows what the radar COULD look like at 8pm tonight. Any storms that develop could pose a threat of damaging winds & localized flooding. The general motion of these storms will be North-Northeast (indicated by the red arrows) so the further south & east you live, the less your chances are.

⚠️6:10PM UPDATE: Watch has been issued until 11pm. The two lone storms are struggling right now but could impact counties along Interstate 40 & the Red River as they push east.

Severe T'storm Watch Possible ⛈️

The area inside of the blue area has a 40% chance of seeing a watch in the near future. We've been dealing with a bit of cloud cover today but it's still very muggy. Little cells are starting to pop up just east of the dry line in Texas Panhandle. We'll have to watch these to see if they survive. If so, some areas could see up to golf ball size hail & 70mph winds.

This previously destructive storm has calmed down but could still produce quarter size hail, 60mph winds & frequent lightning as it moves across the state line into , & . General consensus is that it will continue to weaken as it moves further east.
