𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 - 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻

As 2025 comes to a close, many of us are carrying the weight of different seasons.
Some were filled with joy and answered prayers.
Others were marked by loss, waiting, or quiet struggle.

In this end-of-year episode, I reflect on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 and the truth that there is a season for everything. We talk about how God is present in both the good and the difficult moments, how no season is wasted, and how waiting does not mean God is absent.

This episode is also a reminder to look beyond ourselves. If someone you know has walked through a hard season this year, now is the time to stand in the gap for them. Not just by saying you will pray, but by reaching out and praying with them, right then if you are able.

𝗔𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, this conversation is an invitation to slow down, reflect, pray boldly, and trust God with every season ahead.
If this message resonates with you, consider sharing it with someone who may need encouragement today.

When your faith feels stretched thin, do not let go of each other.
Hold hands. Pray together. Trust God’s timing.

Difficult seasons do not weaken a marriage rooted in Christ.
They shape it, strengthen it, and prepare it for what comes next.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12

This is not the end.
It is only for a season.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 - 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗜'𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆

Words can wound, and words can build. As fathers, our voice carries weight. In this week’s episode of Only for a Season, I share a real moment from years ago when my anger got ahead of my heart. It broke the peace in my home and hurt the people I love most.

But forgiveness changed everything.
If you’re a father carrying regret or distance with one of your children, this message is for you. Healing often begins with three simple words: I am sorry.

There is still time for restoration.
There is still room for healing.
There is still hope for this season.

Words shape the seasons we walk through. Some cut deep. Some heal. Some arrive at the exact moment we need them most. A well chosen word can steady a heart, redirect a life, and carry someone through a valley. Speak with intention. Speak with grace. Speak with hope that lasts.

When I was growing up, I didn’t have cousins nearby.
No family gatherings, no sleepovers, no aunts or uncles stopping by. It was just our small family circle — and that was normal for me.

Then I married Ruth… and I saw what it looked like to be surrounded by family. She has cousins and relatives who truly enjoy spending time together, and even now, it still brings her so much joy. Watching her made me realize something I never experienced growing up: having good family is a gift.

If you have cousins, aunts, or uncles you haven’t talked to in a while, maybe it’s time to reach out. A simple call or message can mean more than you think.

Family isn’t perfect, and boundaries are important, but when you have good people in your life who love you — cherish them. Because those connections are one of God’s sweetest blessings.
