Statement from The Glam Band:
There is no way to accurately describe the brotherhood formed by playing in a band together. You share experiences, moments, and a combination of extreme highs and lows. Through all of this, you develop a bond that cannot be broken. When one is down, you rally the troops and support that individual however you can. This is exactly what we are doing now.
Earlier this year, Dennis alerted us that he was going in for testing as something just didn't feel right. After a review of his family history and a battery of tests the news came back that he had developed Stage Four Prostate Cancer. This was not the type of news that any of us were prepared for. To say that we were in utter shock would be an understatement. We wondered - how this could have happened to our brother and beloved front man? Dennis spent significant time researching different treatment options and meeting with experts and ultimately opted to move forward with chemotherapy which he began this past week.
What does this mean? If there's one thing that we all know about Dennis, it's that he is one strong MF’er! He remains in terrific shape (you've all seen him do the David Lee Roth splits) and will be making some changes in his daily routine to put himself in the best position to emerge victorious. Our summer schedule will once again take us across the state, and it is his wish that we continue moving forward as he powers through to the best of his abilities. We will be here to support him every step of the way and know that you all will be too. Going forward, you might hear someone else singing one of his trademark songs but rest assured that Dennis will be with us as much as his body allows him to be. Music is the best therapy available!
If you feel so inclined, please say a prayer for Dennis and his family as they begin this battle. And with the support of Glam Band Nation, we are confident that he will come out on top.
With Love,
The Glam Band
