Oliver Anderson’s upcoming documentary, The Natatorium: and the 6 Dolphins of John J. Garlic, dives into one of Wisconsin’s most bizarre and forgotten chapters—a surreal blend of aquatic spectacle, civic ambition, and ethical gray areas.

Oliver appeared on Code Zero Radio's Fox Cities Core along with Musical Director Alex Drossart and Audio Technician Sam Farrell. In this clip, Dale, the Head Chef at The Natatorium calls in to share some memories. What starts as a reflection on the documentary turns into a jaw-dropping tale of bear meat deliveries, pink milk brine, and a $100-a-plate fundraiser featuring exotic game like hippopotamus and rattlesnake. Dale’s storytelling is raw, hilarious, and full of heart—and it’s exactly the kind of memory that makes this project so special.

The documentary is still in production, but Oliver’s appearance on Fox Cities Core gave a vivid preview of what’s to come. It’s not just about the dolphins—it’s about memory, myth, and the strange things we build in the name of entertainment.
