July 11: Celebrating MLB All-Star Week; Budweiser Clydesdales to Parade Through Smyrna!

The Budweiser Clydesdale horses will be on parade in Smyrna on Friday, July 11, as part of the celebration of MLB All-Star week.

The eight-horse team will deliver Brewery Fresh Beer from the Budweiser Brewery in Cartersville, GA. All members of the community are invited to come join the festivities.

Family fun activities around the MLB All-Star Game include the Capital One All Star Village, the HBCU Swingman Classic, the Home Run Derby, and more. Full details are here.

About the Clydesdales: More than just a mascot, the Clydesdales have been an integral part of Anheuser-Busch for more than 80 years. When they’re not making appearances around the country, they continue to be marketing stalwarts for the company. They first appeared in the Super Bowl in 1975, and have since appeared in countless Super Bowl commercials for the company.

This summer's final Family Fun Safety Day will take place tomorrow Wednesday, July 9, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. the Cobb County Safety Village in Marietta. Kids can climb up into a fire truck, explore emergency vehicles, hop inside a squad car, ring the firetruck bell, watch a puppet show and learn about how to stay safe in the home.

No need to register. Cost is $5 per person with a maximum cost of $20 per family at the door. Group rates available for 20 or more people. Find more information here or call 770-852-3294. The village is located at 1220 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta.
