UPDATE: As of 12:00 PM today (October 19, 2025), Dr. Melanie Litt has been located and is safe! The BOLO issued for her is cancelled.

MISSING PERSON – Melanie N. Litt was reported missing on October 14. She was last seen on October 13. It is unknown what clothing she was last wearing. At this time, her disappearance has not been determined to be suspicious. Foul play is not suspected. However, her whereabouts are unknown.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Melanie N. Litt is asked to call Cobb County Emergency 911 or (770) 499-3911.

Veterans, active-duty military, and their families are
invited to a free day of support and connection at the
Veterans Benefits & Resource Fair. With over 100 local,
state, and federal agencies on-site, attendees can
access VA healthcare enrollment, identification services, PACT Act medical evaluations, claims and appeals assistance, and even legal support for discharge upgrades, criminal, family, and civil law concerns.

Employment resources will also be available, including onsite interviews and resume preparation. No sales, no donation requests—just a day focused on serving those who serve. Free admission and parking.

Good Mews, a cage-free cat shelter and animal welfare organization in East Cobb, is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors or the Board's Advisory Council.

As we continue to grow and expand our lifesaving work, we especially welcome applicants with experience in finance, law, animal advocacy legislation, technology, fundraising, strategic planning, and capital campaigns. Board members play a vital role in guiding our mission, strengthening our organization, and helping ensure that more cats in our community and beyond receive the care they deserve. If you are ready to make a meaningful impact for animals while sharing your expertise, we invite you to apply and help shape the future of Good Mews.

Our groomer found kittens in her car engine a few weeks ago 😱

We've completed the first round of exams, dewormed, and administered feline distemper.

Our staff has worked tirelessly to make sure these babies are acclimated to humans - and now they need homes!
