It is our sad job to report of the death of FOHBC Hall of Fame member and retired AD copy editor Bill Baab. It is always sad to lose a mentor, and even more so when he is an important part of any publication related to the hobby of digging and collecting. Bill Baab was a mentor to thousands, in both the world of collectable bottles and fishing. And as to publications, he not only was a copy editor with American Digger® magazine, but was on the staff of Bottles and Extras, Antique Bottle & Glass Collector, the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club Gazette, and Ralph Finch’s target ball newsletter On Target. This was in addition to a regular fishing column in The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle newspaper. A collector of antique bottles since 1969, Bill was given the FHOBC President’s Award in both 2004 and 2006, and in 2011vwas elected to the FOHBC Hall of Fame. Bill and his wife, Bea, also self-published four books on Augusta bottles. To say his expertise will be sorely missed and his absence grieved is an understatement. Thank you, Bill, for your dedication in promoting the hobbies you loved and sharing your knowledge freely.

To anyone who owns a food service BEWARE! There are a pair of scammers who have been sending out modified AD Charleston show fliers saying to send them $100/day to set up food trucks at our event. IT IS A SCAM AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY. We are not responsible for these crooks, nor are we the people who hire food trucks. They have added their names to our otherwise legitimate fliers and law enforcement has been notified. For ANY questions about our shows, contact us at [email protected] or call 770-362-8671.
