Keslow Camera to Acquire Sim Camera

We are ecstatic to share the news: Keslow Camera is set to acquire Sim Camera in Canada! As a result, Sim's assets, expertise, and resources will be integrated into Keslow Camera. The acquisition is expected to close March 31st, 2023. Stay tuned for more info.

Canadian Cinematographer July 2022

Last year, DP Jordan Oram got the opportunity to shoot the CBC/BET+ period drama The Porter. Set in the 1920s, The Porter tells the true story of railway workers in Canada and the United States coming together to create the first Black labour union. Proudly serviced by , Jordan shares his experience shooting the ground-breaking series and working with Sim.

"I was looking to add something special for flashbacks through processing in post, but James Teevan at Sim knows me so well and felt comfortable suggesting that I test out his rehoused Petzval 58 mm art lens with bokeh control and fell in love with it immediately because it had a very distinct look." CSC announces Sim will house its new western offices - Canadian Society of Cinematographers

Sim welcomes the Canadian Society of Cinematographers to Vancouver! As the CSC continues to develop a new vision and strategy with a focus on education and diversity to attract top creative and technical talent across the country, Sim is proud to provide a space for CSC members in Vancouver, along with those who travel to Vancouver for projects, to put down their roots on the West Coast.

Along with dedicated office space, members will have access to our in-house 1600 square foot studio test space. We’re also looking forward to partnering with the CSC to host social and educational events to bring CSC members, crews, production teams and emerging talent together to develop, test and share creative ideas.

The Canadian Society of Cinematographers announced today a deal has been reached with Sim to provide a home for CSC offices on the third floor of the Sim Vancouver headquarters.
