In the United Kingdom, twin brothers Ian and Stuart Paton have smashed the world record for growing the largest and heaviest pumpkin, tipping the scales at an astonishing 1,279 kilograms and measuring 21.3 feet wide.
The record-breaking pumpkin was nurtured inside a greenhouse over 130 days, during which the brothers meticulously tended to it — dedicating six hours a day and providing 130 gallons of water daily to help it reach its colossal size.
Their achievement surpasses the previous world record of 1,246.9 kilograms, set by an American grower, cementing the Paton twins’ status as the world’s top giant pumpkin cultivators.
The brothers, who have been competitive growers for decades, credited their success to patience, precision, and passion, calling it a “dream come true after years of hard work.”
