As fans around the world remember the incomparable Dolly Parton, the Austin Film Commission is celebrating the special connections she shared with our city ✨

Austin was lucky to play a small role in Dolly's incredible journey, from her Golden Globe-nominated performance in 'The Best Little Wh******se in Texas,' which was filmed in the Austin area, to the Austin-shot 'Wild Texas Wind,' in which she starred alongside Willie Nelson, her iconic SXSW 2022 appearance, and her many musical performances in Austin throughout her decades-long career.

Dolly left her mark on the Live Music Capital of the World, and we're grateful for her music, films, philanthropy, and unmistakable spirit, which will continue to inspire generations to come. Dolly, we will always love you 💖
