🏆 Best Burgers in Austin Texas 🍔🔝

Today is apparently National Burger Day & I love me a fake food holiday as an excuse to post a list, so here are my picks for best burgers in Austin 🤗👇🏽

🍔 Best burger deal: the smash burger for only $5 (!!!) at from 11am-3pm every Sunday (aka TODAY) 👀

🍔 Best unique burger: the burgers at with a latke added (called the “Yenta”) are delicious and worth the wait; I also love the “Oy Vay Guey” burger which comes with hatch green chiles 🤌🏽

🍔 Best hidden gem burger: is a no frills backyard smash burger that you’ll order from a window tucked away behind the bar Idle Hands on Rainey street; it’s pricey but def worth trying.

🍔 Best drive-through burger: is so good I have literally driven 30 min north just to because I had a craving for one 🤤 This is a big deal because y’all should know I hate driving anywhere for more than 10 min 😂

🍔 Best dive bar burger: burgers hit every time and are worth the hype. 🔥 Unfortunately you have to walk down dirty 6th to get one lmao I don’t make the rules. They have a south Austin location too (I haven’t been yet) if that’s more enticing tho 🫡

🍔 Best brewery burger: not only has great beer 🍺 (the “liquid television” ipa is one of my faves in all of Austin actually), but also one of the best burgers in the city— don’t sleep on ‘em!! Tbh the rest of their food menu is solid as well.

5 New Austin Spots to Check Out ASAP🤌🏽✨ (no reservations needed)

is NOW OPEN at the downtown! These are some of best smash burgers in the city, and they’re slowly taking over Austin. You can also find their second location food truck in front of Violet Crown bar on east 6th (which is open til 2am on Fri/Sat) 🍔

food truck located at The Yard in south Austin for healthy brunch eats that will leave you feeling like a healthy green goddess 💚 entire menu is gluten free, seed oil free and refined sugar free. The nourished bowl was my fave! 🥦

is a new casual rooftop bar now open on the corner of 5th and Brazos; from the same owners who brought us HandleBar, Mama Dearest & Beez Kneez, you can find an array of tequila + mezcal cocktails here along with the most eclectic decor 🐓

in Mueller is now open!! Get the cochinita pibil and one of their delicious aguas frescas 🤤🌮 Walkable to Mueller Lake park!

casual bar and place to grab a po’boy sandwich off east 6th with major NOLA vibes; not a sports bar lol this place is from the same owner as Franklins BBQ so it’s a safe bet that you’ll enjoy the food here 😋

📍 for their fried chicken breakfast sandwich, fresh bagels, and breakfast hash bowl (South Austin at )🍳

📍 .atx for the best cheese enchiladas I’ve ever had (also located at )🧀

📍 for their spicy “killer noodles” and pad Thai (South Lamar in front of ) 🥡

RGV STREET TACOS IN AUSTIN 🚨 is bringing a piece of the 956 to Austin with their authentic valley style tacos & more in a food truck right off east Cesar Chavez 🤤

The tacos only come on corn tortillas and are filled with either Al pastor or bistec plus avocado, lots of queso fresco, cilantro & onion.

Get the plate of 6 tacos for $14 and you’ll get a side of delicious grilled onions which were a great addition. 🤌🏽🌮

Pro tip: if you love spicy, def use their red salsa (my fave); otherwise the verde salsa is more mild.

This uncle & nephew run duo are dedicated to bringing their authentic Matamoros/Brownsville experience to Austin and are absolutely worth a visit. 🔥 Swipe for the menu!
