Serious question for union members. Data centers are being built all over America, and more are being proposed every day. If these projects get approved and move forward, should they be built by union workers or non-union workers? My view is simple: if they’re getting built anyway, I want them built safely, professionally, and union-made. More apprenticeships, more members, stronger benefit funds, and more opportunities for working people. What’s your take?

Per diem isn’t the flex people think it is.

A real flex is a pension that pays you for the rest of your life. A real flex is healthcare that doesn’t drain your bank account. A real flex is a union contract that protects wages, benefits, and working conditions for every worker on the job.

Too many people see a big per diem number and stop looking. The truth is, when you factor in retirement, healthcare, and total compensation, union workers are often coming out way ahead.

Don’t just look at today’s paycheck. Look at your future.

A lot of people are asking what these data centers mean for Montgomery County schools. That’s a fair question. While people debate the projects, I think it’s important to ask what happens if this investment creates new jobs, brings families into the area, grows the local economy, and generates long-term revenue for the community. Strong schools need strong communities, and economic growth can create opportunities that weren’t there before. The real question is whether local leaders will make the most of it.

Missouri construction workers better get ready. Google just announced a $15 billion data center in Montgomery County right across from Amazon’s $35 billion project. That means thousands of construction jobs, apprenticeships, overtime opportunities, and long-term careers for skilled trades workers. This could bring major growth to Missouri with better roads, schools, fire departments, and local businesses through increased tax revenue. The blue-collar boom is coming to Missouri

Kids are graduating high school without learning basic life and trade skills like reading a tape measure — while being told the only path to success is college and student debt. Meanwhile, the skilled trades are desperate for workers, paying six figures, offering pensions, benefits, and careers that can’t easily be replaced by AI. We need to bring shop class back and show the next generation ALL their options.
