St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge is hosting a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” Drive-Thru Donation Drive on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 8–11 a.m. at 1628 Florida Street. The event makes it easy for community members, churches, schools, and businesses to drop off nonperishable food donations from their cars and help local families facing hunger this holiday season.

With the need greater than ever, every can and every act of generosity helps St. Vincent de Paul continue its mission to feed and care for those in need. The organization operates the area’s largest free lunch program and several food pantries across the Baton Rouge region.

Monetary donations can also be made at their website, or mailed to P.O. Box 127, Baton Rouge, LA 70821, supporting St. Vincent de Paul’s Food Services Program, which serves thousands of meals each month.

It all began with a leap. From humble beginnings in Po***ck, LA, George A. Foster, Sr. transformed his vision into reality by founding Guaranty, as a local insurance company, in 1926, driven by faith and a commitment to serve his community. This legacy continued with his son, George A. Foster, Jr., who acquired Channel 9 and boldly launched Guaranty into broadcasting in 1964, reshaping our journey for the next 50 years. Today, as we engage in meaningful initiatives through our charitable arm, the Guaranty Foundation, we honor our past while looking boldly to the future. The next leap of faith is still ahead of us, and we’re ready to create the next 100 years with courage and belief.
