She sleeps so much more now. Those first few minutes are simply me trying to figure out if she’s tired or bored. She seems peaceful though. Dang nail care!!! I hate when her nails are long.

Thinking a finger is food is something she will do on occasion. It always breaks my heart. BUT she did love those cookies! I was happy to see her eating so well but was curious if she maybe didn’t have a good lunch. She was definitely hungry and thirsty today. Many times I view feeding her snacks as an activity. Something she enjoys and stimulates her but today I felt like she was truly hungry/thirsty. I’ll have to stop by during lunch to see how meals are progressing.

Easily one of the best visits we’ve had all year! To hear her tell me “thank you” was crazy! She continued through this visit to be more present then I’ve seen in months! What an incredible blessing and gift.

How odd! Her demeanor and voice changed! I can’t imagine the moving of her brain. It’s sad and scary and, for her, I’m sure very lonely. Breaks my heart! Thankful for the sweet moments in this visit but perplexed by the change at the end.

How many times can I say that you simply NEVER know what is going to happen on a visit!!! This one I couldn’t have dreamed up if I tried! I mean maybe I should have, but I never did! Why are visits with mom never boring!? LOL Sheesh! Well here’s one for the books! The smell, the smell of an unclean bathroom was so thick in her room. To the point where I was trying to find the source! I even checked mom to make sure she didn’t need a change. But eventually I found the source, or rather the source found me! Goodness! Not how I expected the visit to go.

Linda! Thank you so much for the lovely care package for mom! I so appreciate you and the gift of quality treats for mom. It is so sad that the U.S. simply doesn’t have such nice chocolates and treats. You are so kind and generous and mom is enjoying the treats at each visit! Thank you so much!
