I'm deep in the edit and listening to the 28 Days later soundtrack! As soon as I saw this shot framed up on set, I immediately got 28 Days later vibes. For those of you wondering, I'm editing in DaVinci resolve. And I migrated from Adobe probably about 4 years ago now. I haven't regretted it or looked back since!

Been posting a lot about 24 Hours To Orbit lately, but believe it or not I do still have a family! 😬 We had a great Memorial Weekend up at Lake Merwin with the whole family. Uncle Kelsey is always a hit with all his RC toys! Thanks for loving them like you do Kels. Plus the MASSIVE log almost took out the dock. The kids "had" to paddle out and push it free.

You know you chose the right lead actor when he comes in on his one day off to hang out with the cast and crew on the final day of Principal Photography. Huge shout out to Smack for allowing me to keep him up to all hours of the night, force him to crawl through nasty dank tunnels, and work his but off!

This was a crazy day on set! We had some big stunts planned including being kicked out of a moving vehicle. One "stunt" we didn't plan on was our actor, being so strong that he could shake our vehicle out of park causing it to pop out of gear and start rolling down the hill! Hence why if you zoom in you now see all four wheels chocked and we have about 60lbs of sand bags living on the break! Thankfully no one was hurt and we got some awesome footage!

I had lots of firsts on this film. But the one I was probably most excited for was this day! Having an entire stunt team...

I had lots of firsts on this film. But the one I was probably most excited for was this day! Having an entire stunt team, and doing real body burns was pretty surreal! Everyone was super professional and we pulled it off without a hitch. Huge thanks to all of the stunt team who drove down from the Seattle area to make this happen. Can't wait to get this scene into the edit.

It was the last night on set and the girls came to hang out. Maverick couldn't't quite make it to wrap. But the girls had a blast hanging out with our little 7 year old actress Marlee! It is always interesting working with kids as you never know what you're gonna get. But
Marlee did great and I think she had a blast, so I will count that as a win!

Tonight is the last day of Principal Photography for and man has it been a ride! There have been highs and lows, lots of laughs (see above) and a ton of amazing footage and performances from the cast and crew! Tonight may be the last day of Principal, but there is SOOO much more to do. Thank you everyone who helped get us this far! BTW, Smack is excellent at reading paper maps! 😁

We did some pretty awesome rigging and stunts with this Beast of a truck! The video is us doing a timing rehearsal. Sometimes low fi is the best solution! No need for fancy remote charges or devices. Just two guys counting down from there. So stoked about how this shot turned out.

Last day of week two. This has been a LOOONG week to say the least! Huge thanks to ALL my team for their hard work on this film. What we are pulling off is so amazing. Can't wait to get all this footage in a timeline and start cutting!
