Softer cash cattle prices did not benefit the futures board this past week as beef demand concerns on a global scale and lower boxed beef prices weighed heavily on the markets. However, record prices continue to be found for auction prices with Northern Livestock Video Auction testing the waters this week in their 21st annual Summertime Classic.

Grain trade also had a strong session on Friday to pull the wheat markets back to steady with support coming from the soybean futures.
