Ricky Farley has owned and operated the Alabama Canine Law Enforcement Officer’s Training Center since 1992. He has had the privilege of training police service K9s for over 28 foreign countries, as well as over 1500 police departments inside the United States.

Over his 21-year career, Ricky has trained canines in areas of narcotics, explosives, accelerant, cadaver detection, and apprehension. He has made numerous television appearances on issues pertaining to police service K9s, assisted both large and small departments in writing their K9 policies and procedures, given civil liability lectures along with search and seizure law updates, and lectured over 2000 individuals in bite prevention.

Donovan Hunter

Classes: Creating Purpose Driven Canines | Just a Dog Stop?

Donovan Hunter has been handling and training law enforcement and military working dogs for over 16 years. His canine career started in the military, where he enlisted in the United States Army for 7.5 years in a special operations unit (1st Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment) from 2004-2011. Donovan deployed 8 times to combat zones in Afghanistan and Iraq, 5 of which were as a multipurpose K9 handler.

Donovan eventually honorably separated from the Army as a Staff Sergeant and became a police officer for the Austin Police Department, where he also served as a K9 handler. He was a member of the undercover tactical Street Narcotics unit in the Organized Crime Division where he and his K9 were constantly utilized in patrol, tactical, and undercover operations.

Donovan was featured on the HBO documentary War Dogs, A Soldiers Best Friend and was the technical advisor for the feature film “Dog”. He is currently the owner and head trainer of Von Jäger K9 LLC., which provides K9 training for military, Law Enforcement and private agencies, as well as, basic and advanced obedience and K9 sales. Donovan specializes in special operations tactics, law enforcement operations, and Military/law enforcement K9 utilization. He has maintained his Oklahoma peace officer license and serves as a reserve officer for Grove Police Department.

Dave is a Certified Master Trainer with 33 years of experience in the K-9 Security and Defense Industry. He has worked with agencies in over 25 countries including Madrid, London, Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, Mexico, Scotland, Hong Kong, Canada, Indonesia, Australia, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan and many others.

Dave specializes in consulting, green dog sales, import/export of working dog and pet logistics, scent detection, training, handling, kenneling and specialty training. He has consulted for governments and international organizations and has lived and traveled throughout the world to work with police, military, private sector security and anti-terrorist experts.
