September’s First Friday is right around the corner!
Join us on Friday, September 5th for a night full of art, live music, films, and local markets across Downtown Boone. Here’s what’s happening:
🎨 Artists + Youth Makers on King Street | 5–8pm
Artists and Youth Makers will be set up along King Street and at the Post Office lawn. Stop by and support our creative community!
🪨 Rock Painting with Lear Group Real Estate | 5–7pm
Paint your own masterpiece and share why you love Boone! All supplies provided—family-friendly fun.
🎸 Footsloggers | 5–8pm
Browse local makers’ booths and enjoy some live music in the courtyard.
🖼️ Jones House Gallery Reception | 5–7pm
Mother and Son features the work of Andi Dandelion & Hank Peters. Meet the artists during this opening reception!
🎵 Fizz Ed | 5–10pm
Art Market + live music from 5–8pm, then Open Mic Night from 7–10pm. Always a crowd favorite!
🏛️ Turchin Center for the Visual Arts | 5–8pm
Explore new exhibitions, meet artists, and enjoy free admission for a night of creativity.
🍕 Appalachian Theatre | 6–7:40pm
Celebrate National Cheese Pizza Day with a free screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023), sponsored by the Town of Boone!

Stop in to explore handmade works from local artists and makers during their First Friday evening hours.
🍽️ Rooted on King | 6:30–8:30pm
Grab dinner at 6:30 and enjoy live music by Sola Bazaar from 7–8:30. A cozy night downtown!
🌿 Wildwood Community Market | 3–8pm
Kick things off early with an art market featuring 15+ local vendors starting at 3pm.
✨ Nth Degree Gallery | Starts 7pm
Step into Kaleidoscope Wonderland, a new exhibit from Abby Elwell. BYOB and bring some cash to support the artist!
