Author Will Alford cruises up the first ascent of Logical Defense at the Fortress, Old Rag.

Will wrote, "This very aesthetic route climbs through a great variety of granite features. Commit to the difficult bouldery start that leads to a hand crack that eventually deposits you on a jug below the first bolt. Make a cryptic sequence past the second bolt. Move around the arete to reach a finger crack. Follow the finger crack up to a short slab and the bolt anchor."

You'll find more detailed descriptions like this of many hidden gems in the Southeast's premier climbing destination.
