Today, we are so excited to share with you the new Saapato album, '& Pages Burn Like Candles,' the companion piece to last month's 'Seasons Turn Like Pages.'

The companion release to Saapato's last release, 'Seasons Turn Like Pages,' '& Pages Burn Like Candles' takes the compositions from the 'Seasons Turn Like Pages' and morphs them into an entirely different physical and emotional space. Constructed exclusively from the final masters of 'Seasons Turn Like Pages' and heavily manipulated field recordings, the album melts the original breezy, morning-flavored material down into something dusky and swamp-like. Together, the two albums function as a complete cycle, one documenting time slipping away, the other dwelling inside its residue. One glides through the trees with river-like motion, while the other smolders at the bottom of a marsh...

Weightless as day slipping into night, Saapato’s newest sonic offering, 'Seasons Turn Like Pages,' is a collection of fleeting vignettes that feel sunlit, windswept, and rain washed. The compositions move like a breeze, melodies appear and dissolve like scenery passing by a train window. Nothing lingers too long in one place and that transience makes up the album’s emotional core. Synthesizers dance, spontaneous and sylphic like mirages in the forest at dawn. It’s a celebration and acknowledgement of how time moves; steadily and invisibly with a slipperiness that makes it hard to fully grasp. Underneath that fantastical lightness is a subtle melancholy, watching something beautiful disappear in real time as if the compositions understand their own impermanence. 'Seasons Turn Like Pages' exists in that delicate space between presence and nostalgia, where moments are still unfolding even as they begin to fade.
