Almost 9 months since finding out that the original Galuminumfoil was going to have to relocate, we have some very exciting news to announce. The plan all along was to build a bigger and better version in a new location. After seeing over thirty properties, I finally found the right fit as part of a large warehouse in Bushwick. Minutes (Literally) after our lease got finalized by my attorney, I received a text message from Joel Hamilton asking me if I'd be interested in partnering with he and Tony Maimone at the fantastic Studio G. I was of course flattered and shocked. In less than 24 hours Tony, Joel, and I came to an agreement on how it would all work.
In short, I am now, humbly, a partner at Studio G Brooklyn. Galuminumfoil Productions, which includes my two dear friends, Jeff Berner and Gary Atturio, will remain intact and operate exclusively out of Studio G Brooklyn. As currently configured, the facility consists of three, fully operational recording studios, and by the end of the Fall will boast an additional overdub and mixing suite. As amazing as the equipment and the rooms are, the most exciting part about this is the collection of people working under one roof every day.
There will be many more details and a full on-line makeover for both Studio G and Galuminumfoil in the coming months. Thank you all so much for your support over the last ten years at the old location, and we look forward to, hopefully another, even longer run at our new location.
Sincerely,
Chris
