Five standout softball players from our area were selected to participate in the recent USSSA Missouri/Kansas All-State Softball Games—an event honoring athletes for exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, attitude, and skill throughout the season. Branson, MO – The Butler Lady Bears Basketball team made a statement at the Tri-Lakes Shootout in Branson last week, with the varsity squad going undefeated in the summer tournament. The Lady Bears varsity team played six games in just two and a half days, finishing with an impressive 6-0 record. Overland Park, KS – Butler High School’s own Toree Hiser represented her community well at the Diva Dash 5K in Overland Park this past weekend. Competing against a field of more than 600 runners, Hiser finished 17th overall and earned 3rd place in her age bracket. The Diva Dash is a well-known women’s event that combines fun with competitive racing.
