Early on in our relationship, I gave Parker (my now husband) an easy out.

We had our first rough night as a couple and I said to him, “look, i’m crazy. My family is crazy. We are a lot to handle. You could easily be with someone simple and kind and easy and be very happy. If that’s what you want, i’m giving you an out now. No hard feelings.”

What he said next shifted our lives forever.

“I want the crazy. I’m in.”

I don’t exactly know how this man is able to handle all this.. all I know is that he can and he does so with grace.

Who would have thought. Calm and chaos seem to go pretty dang well together.

I was told so many negative things about marriage…

- “I’m only paying for one wedding”
- “I give it 6 months”
- “Wait until you have a mortgage”
- “Renovating a house together will destroy your marriage”
- “Just wait until you start hating each other”

But through all the nonsense, I saw the truth of it all…

None of these are hard facts

They are all projections of people who gave up
Who let things slide
Or fell into survival mode
Who hated what they felt on the inside that they assumed it was the world instead of them

If there’s one thing about me I know to be true, it is that I am rebelliously joyous. I settle for nothing less than extraordinary. I am willing to look myself in the mirror and admit when I’m the problem. And when you marry a good person, best believe any issues you have will only be solved when you acknowledge your own baggage.

The bottom line: Life is what you make it

Marriage is what you make it

Let that be the most exciting and refreshing thing you’ve heard all day

If life is crumbling around you, flip the narrative. Change your perspective. Acknowledge all the actions you chose that got you where you are. Then re-write the story.

Never settle for anything less. Never let your issues get swept under the rug. If you want the kind of marriage where you can’t wait to get home to your spouse, create it.

It’s up to you. How incredible is that.

It’s actually super fun I swear💀

Katonah Yoga®️ is a new movement form I’ve been trying out the last few months. In the way that Haia Sculpt helps you to heal your pain and resolve discomfort, Katonah almost does the opposite. It’s gentle on the body but it does bring out your discomforts. Where are you holding tension? Where are you holding emotions? Why are you not letting yourself breathe deeply?

This whole crew are Haia people. We’ve done this for a while so Caro took us to the next level. But I promise if you come to a class as a newbie, you will be welcomed and given work designed for your body.

Try out a class. You won’t regret it.

As I reflect back on the last year, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful for God requesting so much of us. For His nudging and guiding to quit our jobs at the same time and pursue our passions was no small ask, but it was one of the greatest things we ever did.

In March of 2025, Parker and I both felt called to drop our ‘secure’ jobs and pursue our higher callings. His being flight school to become a pilot, mine to create a business of some kind that I still did not have clarity on.

It felt so heavy. How on earth was I supposed to grow from $0 a month to cover not only my own income but support my husband through school too before our savings ran out?

I tried to stay where I was, resist the change, but God said no. I was a live wire, horribly anxious and scratching all over my body, itching to move on. He knew better.

So, we took a leap of faith. A really big one. And of course.. as it goes with God.. it all worked out better than we could have ever imagined.

This first image is a replica of one I had on my vision board when Parker and I first contemplated flight school. Now he is a certified commercial pilot not even a year later. And I run my own agency with a team I am so in awe of. My body is at peace.

Parker surprised me with a sunrise flight to Payson to get breakfast at 5am the other day. It was one of my favorite mornings to date because it said so much.

We did it. We’re doing it. And God ALWAYS has our backs.

Trust in Him. He will give you more than you could have ever imagined for yourself.
