We pushed some boundaries on The Psycodelics new album to make it more than just a series of songs. We wanted it to feel like an ALBUM. Remember when artists used to make complete records with intention? and not just a bunch of random singles packaged together as an “album”. Nothing wrong with the ladder, but we wanted this to be something that plays with purpose top to bottom. Track order, transitions, messages.

Also, this solo on “Charge It To the Game” is so cool. It sounds like a synth, but it’s actually Cam playing the guitar. This is one of the most wild & interesting tones I’ve recorded. So fun digging in with Cameron Wescott to find ways to push instruments beyond their traditional sounds. This clip is Cam vibing around finding the part. You can hear glimpses of what turned into the final solo. Listen to “Only Takes Forever” now!
