seeking validation

This is rather ironic. This is a video about NOT seeking validation… but if u don’t listen to what im saying u might think im actually looking FOR validation.

This is not my private plane… I’ve just been lucky the last few months to be invited along a few times.

So, basically, I have done nothing to be validated for.

But it got me thinking… why is it we look for validation from sources that don’t matter in the long run?

Just a few examples:

Social media - mostly people who are pretty much strangers.

Maybe it’s a parent or guardian who wasn’t emotionally present when u were young.

Maybe it’s an ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend who made u feel like u weren’t good enough- because of their own childhood trauma.. not because of anything u did or didn’t do.

Awareness is everything.

Once u can name it… u can tame it.

If u have ever been guilty of seeking validation- it’s ok. No judgement from me bc I’m right there with u… but if u want to accomplish great things in life then no longer seeking validation is a great first step.
