In February of 2022 referee Nicholas Gauvin was violently assaulted and concussed by a thug on skates named Paul Halloran. Foxboro Police charged him with A&B, and the Norfolk DA's Office assured Gauvin they would be prosecuting Halloran to the full extent of the law. But Halloran's Daddy is Ken Halloran, the boyfriend of Maura Healey's sister, and he's a former MSP Detective Lieutenant who used to work as an attorney and clerk magistrate in Quincy and Falmouth District Court (before being run out on ethics complaints), and is currently a lobbyist for a firm where he makes sure State Police get favorable legislation passed. The DA's Office lied to Gauvin for months, and dropped the charges without telling him, despite an arrest warrant for Paul Halloran. The victim witness advocate hung up on him.
