The Lakers just caused the biggest trade deadline sh*t storm we’ve ever seen.

Lot of dust needs to settle, and even then we may not get used to this.

LeBron and Luka. F—king unbelievable.

The future is going to be crazy, and it’s going to make appreciating the past even harder now.

There have been a lot of lows since 2020 for the Lakers. But they really accomplished great things in the LeBron-AD era.

They brought the franchise back from a decade of darkness.

They won a championship the same year we lost Kobe and the world got shut down.

They won the first-ever In-Season Tournament.

And they gave us memes and storylines for over 5 years.

What a ride.

How many more LeBron James-Stephen Curry matchups will we get? Let's do the math.

LeBron just turned 40, Steph is going to be 37 this March, and the two still have 3 more encounters this season.

Steph's under contract till next season, while LeBron has a player option this offseason.

Assuming both players sign 2-year deals (so that they can make the most of the NBA's new TV rights deal), that gives us at least 8 more LeBron-Steph games... if both players stick with their current teams.

But it could be even less.

Ever since LeBron signed with the Lakers in 2018, the two faced each other on average 2x a season. In fact, there's never even been a season where both played in all 4 matchups.

If LeBron and Steph never face each other in the playoffs, realistically we'd only see them play each other about 6 more times before either retires.
