In cases where a child is in immediate danger, they may have only ten minutes to grab essential items before being taken from their home and put into the foster system. Many times, they only have a trash bag for their personal belongings.

Dozens of Clinton Arrow Fans came out to pack the Clinton High School Gym to watch our Arrow Basketball athletes take on Northwest Rankin Cougars. This night was explosive for the athletes and the crowning of Arrow Court Queen and Princesses. Yet the pivotal moment of this evening was during the Lady Arrows Halftime show. During this monumental evening, a proud alumnus of Clinton High School, Mr. Ramondo James, Manager of Walmart Supercenter #6469 presented the Clinton Arrows Basketball Booster Club and the Arrows Basketball Program with a $1,000 Wal-Mart grant. This partnership with Walmart is a beautiful example of how local large corporations promote our schools and events which bring our community together through generous contributions.

“It is truly a blessing to be in position to be able to give back to the community. It makes it extra special to give back to my high school. Over the years from 1st through 12th grade, many educators invested in me and many others in the Clinton Community,” said Ramondo James. This donation goes to Clinton Arrows Basketball Booster Club, a nonprofit organization which aims to elevate the arrow by promoting and creating positive interactions for Clinton High and Sumner Hill student-athletes beyond the basket. With this donation, the CABBC continues to grow and serve to expand their reach in the future. The club’s mission, “United, We Elevate the Game!”
