Chris is battling **Stage 4 kidney disease** and urgently needs a **kidney transplant**. He’s spent over two decades running toward danger to keep others safe—now it’s time we step up for him!!

Visit the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center on Saturday, August 9th for the Clear the Shrkter event. Adoption fees waived. The event starts at 10:30 am.

Join us this Saturday for our Clear the Shelters event beginning at 10:30am. We will have a DJ, Popcorn and Snow Cones and more. Adoption fees will be waived. If you are looking for your new best friend, stop by and meet some of our great pets.

There’s still time to enjoy the Cu***ng Arts Center’s annual “Summer in the City” Art Show. The exhibit runs through August 23rd.

The Cu***ng Arts Center’s annual “Summer in the City” Art Show runs through Saturday, Aug 23. It features Sawnee Association of the Arts members and non-member local artists in 2-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional and Photography artwork. This is one of the Center’s largest exhibits and entries were juried, judged with prizes awarded. The Cu***ng Arts Center Gallery and Artisan Gift Shop, located at 111 Pilgrim Mill Rd in Downtown Cu***ng is open Wednesdays-Saturdays, 11am-3pm. Visit sawneeart.org for more hours, classes, events, memberships, volunteer opportunities, and sponsorship information. Congratulations to Forsyth County Chief Assistant District Attorney Sandra Partridge, recently recognized as Assustant District Attorney of the Year by the District Attorneys’ Association of Georgia (DAAG).

Forsyth County Chief Assistant District Attorney Sandra Partridge was recently recognized as Assistant District Attorney of the Year by the District Attorneys’ Association of Georgia (DAAG). The award is given to outstanding prosecutors and investigators who have gone above and beyond in the pursuit of justice.

“It has been the honor of my life to help the victims of crime seek justice, so winning an award for doing what I love was a surprise,” Partridge said. “I appreciate the honor, but more than that, I appreciate that I have been lucky enough to have a career that brings me personal fulfillment and allows me to help those in need.”

Congratulations, Sandra, on your achievement, and thank you for your service to this community!

A Women’s Self Defense Class, presented by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, takes place on August 12th. 7-9 pm. This class is Free.

Registration is not required. Fowler Park Recreation Center.

Monday, August 11th 7pm until 9pm

This Women's Self Defense class is FREE and open to Forsyth County residents.
This course is designed to teach women situational awareness by reviewing case studies of previous abductions. Some hands-on training is provided but limited. This class is designed for women only (Teenagers 14+ can only attend at parent's discretion due to mature content).
No registration is required - Just show up!
