Paul R. Thomas is a Special Advisor to the Rector, Honorary Professor of Economics and Finance Ukrainian-American Concordia University Kyiv, Ukraine. Partner at IRE (Ukraine), LLC and Thomas & Simonova LLC.
He is an Honorary Professor and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Economics and Finance. On behalf of UACU he is responsible for supporting strategic development, including developing new academic programs and creating new business, scientific and academic relationships (see http://www.concordia.edu.ua for more information).

For 7 years Mr. Thomas was Vice President and President of the Economics Institute of the American Economic Association, located at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado, he was responsible for international business development and worked directly with a large number of foreign government ministries, banks, financial institutions and private businesses around the world.

As a Professor, he has designed academic programs and taught business and economics courses for UACU; the Economics Institute; the Colorado School of Mines at Golden, Colorado; Carnegie Mellon University in Beijing, China; the Ford Foundation in Vietnam, and various government ministries and companies. He has authored numerous publications in the fields of industrial economics and international valuation.

For 8 years as a Supervisory Economist at the United States Bureau of Mines, he was responsible for international strategic mineral analysis involving the evaluation of hundreds of international mining and processing enterprises around the world.

Morning Dough Show with host Dan Zuchegno. Tune in this Monday, September 15th, 2025, at 8:35 a.m. on KPEO World Community Radio to hear their conversation.Dr. Richard L. Wobbekind is Associate Dean for Business and Government Relations and Faculty Director of the Business Research Division at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. As Faculty Director of the Business Research Division (BRD) his responsibilities include developing an annual consensus forecast of the Colorado economy which he has done since 1988. The Business Research Division also produces a quarterly Business Leaders Confidence Index for Colorado and a quarterly new business formation and economic indicators report in conjunction with the Colorado Secretary of State. He participates annually in the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank Regional Economic Roundtable, and is a contributor to the Western Blue Chip forecast newsletter and the National Association of Business Economists Economic Outlook and Policy Surveys. He was a member of the Governor's Revenue Estimating Committee from 1990 - 2021. He is frequently quoted in local and national print and broadcast media. Rich has lived in Colorado for 46 years and has spent much of his time studying the development of the Colorado and regional economies. Dr. Wobbekind received a BA in Economics from Bucknell University and an MA and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Nicholas Sly, Vice President, Economist, and Denver Branch Executive at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, will be a live in-studio guest on the Morning Dough Show with host Dan Zuchegno. Tune in this Monday, August 11, 2025, at 8:20 a.m. on KPEO World Community Radio to hear their conversation.

As Branch Executive, Nicholas Sly serves as the KC Fed’s regional economist and its representative in Colorado, Wyoming, and northern New Mexico, leading the local research and public engagement teams. He works closely with the Denver Branch’s board of directors, as well as local functional leadership, to foster branch culture and effectiveness. As Vice President, he provides strategic support for community development teams across all offices of the Tenth Federal Reserve District. He is also responsible for briefing the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City on economic conditions in the region. The combined portfolio of regional economic research and community development ensures those briefings include the perspectives of the region’s unique economic footprint and the perspectives of low- and moderate-income households.

Before joining the Bank in 2015, Mr. Sly was associate professor of economics at the University of Oregon. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in mathematics and economics and earned his Ph.D. in economics from Michigan State University. Mr. Sly is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Wednesday July 30, 2025 interview with Dr. Keith Maskus on the Morning Dough Show.,Dr. Maskus is Arts and Sciences Professor of Distinction in Economics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He was Chief Economist of the US State Department from 2016 to 2017 and a Lead Economist at the World Bank from 2001 to 2002. He is a Research Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and a consultant for the World Bank and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Maskus received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He has written extensively about various aspects of intellectual property rights, international trade and investment, and technology. His most recent book is Private Rights and Public Problems: The Global Economics of Intellectual Property in the 21st Century.

Monday July 28, 2025, at 8;15 am on the Morning Dough Show interview with Richard L. Wobbekind. Dr. Wobbekind is Associate Dean for Business & Government Relations, Senior Economist and Faculty Director of the Business Research Division and at the University of Colorado Boulder. He joined the faculty at the Leeds School of Business in 1985 and has served as an Associate Dean since 2000.

As Faculty Director of the Business Research Division his responsibilities include developing an annual consensus forecast of the Colorado economy and performing various economic impact assessments of the Colorado economy. Wobbekind also produces the quarterly Leeds Business Confidence Index for Colorado.

Rich is the past president of the National Association for Business Economics. He participates annually in the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank Regional Economic Roundtable and is a contributor to the Western Blue Chip forecast newsletter and the National Association of Business Economists Economic Outlook and Policy Surveys.

Rich is a member of the Governor’s Revenue Estimating Advisory Committee and the Boulder Economic Council. He is an advisory board member for the Western Regional Science Association.

Andrew Marsh serves as the Chief Administrative Officer reporting to the Mayor and City Council and coordinating with the department heads to manage daily operations for Idaho Springs, Colorado. Mr. Marsh identifies and implements strategic solutions to complex issues at the municipal, county and regional level for Idaho Srings. Andy has earned a Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) focused in Public Administration from Mount St. Mary's University, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Bucknell University with a major in Political Science, and is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy with credentials as a Chief Fire Officer by the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

Before moving on to Idaho Springs, Andy was the Fire Chief for Englewood, Colorado and before that he was the Fire Chief for Federal Heights., Colorado
