Denver does summer concerts better than almost any city in the country.

The proof is the venues. The most famous amphitheater in the world carved into red sandstone. A downtown arena. A beloved mid-size ballroom in RiNo. A garden that books a concert series. Two stadiums that clear their calendars for the biggest names touring. And free concerts filling the parks nearly every week.

We put together the shows worth clearing your calendar for, organized by venue, with a recommendation on where to have dinner first. Because the best version of a Denver summer concert is never just the concert. It’s the dinner before, the drive out, the long light of a Colorado evening, and the music as the close.

June is when Denver becomes the city it spent all winter promising to be.

The concerts stack up at Red Rocks. The neighborhoods spill into their streets. And somehow, every weekend from here through Labor Day already has something worth clearing your schedule for.

This month: Yo-Yo Ma with the Colorado Symphony. Paul Simon for two nights. Film on the Rocks kicks off with The Princess Bride. Denver Film brings Bleak Week to the Sie FilmCenter. JRM Studio opens Material Migration. Little Bird hosts makers markets and hand-cut silhouette portraits at both locations. And that’s just the beginning.

Happy Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Today we honor those who gave everything in service to our country.

My grandfathers, Colonel Lawrence Talbott Gordon Sr. and Captain Howard Beecher “Hank” Westering, both served. I carry their memory with me, and I carry the gratitude.

To all who have served and sacrificed, thank you.

There are caterers who can feed a crowd. And then there are caterers who can transform an evening.

is the latter.

Chef Grant Buchanan trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, graduating top five in his class in both Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts. He’s cooked for a Dalai Lama, a former U.S. president, and Salman Rushdie. And then he and his wife Kaylinn did something unexpected: they bought a farm.

From Peachtree Farmstead in the Longmont foothills, GB Culinary operates as both a boutique catering company and a working farm. They grow their own produce. They raise their own livestock. And they build menus around what’s in season, what’s local, and what the moment calls for.

Grow. Cook. Serve.

Welcome to The Scout Guide Denver.

Some businesses you scout. Others, you simply grow with.

has been part of The Scout Guide since Volume 1. Twenty-six years in business. Three Colorado locations. A reputation built so carefully and so consistently that it has become the rare home furnishings brand most Denver readers can name without thinking.

And 2026 is a big year. HW Home is leaving Cherry Creek North after 20+ years to open a new flagship at , at the corner of 8th Avenue and Albion Street. Ron called it a homecoming.

We’ve known Ron and Jim since the beginning. They’re the kind of business partners you want in your community for the next twenty-six years too.

Scouted: Garage Guru

Some businesses you scout for their storefront. Others you scout because every conversation about a category seems to come back to them.

We’ve known Chad Karst for years, and we’ve watched Garage Guru quietly become the name Denver homeowners trade among themselves when the garage stops working.

What sets them apart: Chad is on site for every install. After thirteen-plus years in business, the owner is still on the ground, on the project, every single time. And every client gets a free 3D AutoCAD rendering of the finished space before any work begins.

Custom cabinets, overhead racks, polyaspartic floor coatings, basement floors, patios. The scope is broader than the name suggests.

Welcome to The Scout Guide Denver.

🎓Cap and gown is the easy part. Here’s what comes next.

If you’re the parent of a Denver senior right now, you know the feeling. In about ten weeks, you’ll load a car or board a plane, and the kid you’ve been raising for eighteen years will start the next chapter without you.

The summer between is a strange one. It’s worth doing well.

We leaned on the team at for guidance on everything from the paperwork wave to the roommate conversation to the emotional work no one talks about. The logistical summer is real. The emotional summer is realer.

You did the work. They’re ready. Let them go.

Accuracy first, speed second.

Alecia has been living by that line since high school sports, and it’s quietly shaped everything that came after. The Wall Street career. The pivot away from it. The coaching practice she built when she realized the people climbing the ladder were the ones most in need of being asked whether the ladder was leaning against the right wall.

Denver born and raised, Alecia coaches high achievers through the moment when the prefabricated path ends and the next chapter has to be built from scratch. Values. Fulfillment. The inner voice that keeps you playing safe and small. And for most clients, Reiki woven into the work.

We’ve known her for six years and counting.
