Crash and spinout reports are quickly accumulating as a major winter storm moves through Minnesota.
Take it slow if you’re on the road and—better yet—stay safe inside if you don’t need to travel. At least a dozen crashes, spinouts or stalls were reported in the Twin Cities metro by 10:30 a.m. If you have to drive, make sure to turn on your headlights and pack a winter survival kit.
As of around 2:50 p.m., the National Weather Service says Interstate 35 has been closed from Highway 14 (just south of Owatonna, Minn.) to Clarks Grove, Minn. due to numerous crashes from the winter storm. I-35 is also closed from Clear Lake, IA to Ames, IA.
