Public announcement. As a breeder that somewhat frequently moves out adult breeder animals into new homes to make room for maturing prohect raise ups I will not home a full grown 18+ft retic into a inexperienced home. It's simply bad for you, the animal and the hobby in general. Plenty of breeders will I simply will not. It doesn't matter how "tame" I consider the animal. As a keeper you need to know a reticulated pythons behaviors in depth before taking on a full grown adult. It's a personal opinion that I will stand on. I will however be happy to talk you through retic ownerships ins and outs and encourage you to consider taking one on as a pet if you have the resources and knowledge to do so. This isn't a judgement of anyones abilities. Simply that they are an apex predator that deserve more respect from keepers than starting with a giant animal.
