The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters almost exactly 10 years since the last Fantastic Four movie was attempted. The Josh Trank-directed film was hated in every universe across the multiverse — sitting at a 9% critic score and an 18% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. To add insult to an insult of a movie, it bombed at the box office, making only $168 million on a $120 million budget.

So, Marvel Studios’ first crack at the First Family of Marvel Comics — since the superhero boom — should easily clear that bar… right? Right!

Let me start with this: yes, it’s better than the last Fantastic Four film — by a lot! It’s better than all the previous Fantastic Four movies, honestly. Both low bars, admittedly — but still worth stating.

Now that we got all the concession stand items out of the way, let’s dive in.

This is the most… comic book movie ever made. ( in the best way)

Meryl Mode: Activated.🧥💼
Just days after Anne Hathaway gave us a first glimpse of Andy Sachs 2.0, Miranda Priestly herself has entered the chat — and the set.

Meryl Streep was spotted in full fashion-editor form filming The Devil Wears Prada 2 in NYC, serving classic Miranda in a camel overcoat, purple silk blouse, and a brown pleather pencil skirt. The Oscar-winner is reprising her role as the icy, iconic editor-in-chief of Runway — and yes, she still knows how to make the sidewalk her runway.

🎾 Venus Williams Is Engaged!

Tennis legend Venus Williams, 45, confirmed her engagement to Italian actor Andrea Preti, 37, during a post-match interview at the Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, D.C.

The confirmation came moments after Venus clinched her first WTA singles win in over two years, defeating Peyton Stearns.

She told Rennae Stubbs, “My fiancé is here and he really encouraged me to keep playing,” acknowledging Andrea’s unwavering support—his first time witnessing her on-court.

Venus and Andrea began dating in mid‑2024, first spotted vacationing along Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Rumors of their romance followed when she was seen wearing a diamond ring in Milan earlier this year.

Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson just gave ‘90s hearts everywhere a moment.

The Dawson’s Creek alums were spotted filming Happy Hours — a new NYC-set film trilogy written, directed by, and starring Holmes — marking their first on-screen reunion in over 20 years (!!).

The last time Joey and Pacey shared a scene was in the Dawson’s Creek finale back in 2003, and yes, we’re absolutely pretending this new project is an alternate timeline where they made it work post-Capeside.
