Hawkins, one last time. 🕯️🧇

The Stranger Things season 5 finale has officially aired, and our favorite Hawkins residents closed the Upside Down chapter that raised an entire generation on bikes, synths, and friendship under pressure.

But don’t call it a full goodbye just yet.
The Duffer Brothers left the door cracked just enough.

Whispers are swirling:
• Lucas Sinclair + Max Mayfield (Lumax) still have story left
• A possible Nancy Wheeler spin-off
• Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper heading to Montauk?

NYC just flipped a new page.
Zohran Mamdani is officially the 112th mayor of New York City — sworn in just after midnight on New Year’s Day in a historic ceremony at the old City Hall subway station beneath Manhattan.

And people have lots to say as he becomes the first Muslim mayor of NYC, first South Asian descent, and one of the youngest ever to hold the job.

2025 didn’t feel like a year — it felt like a director’s cut of human chaos. But we made it. We lost some greats, some legends.

While the country is having buyers remorse there were moments this year that temporarily made it feel not that bad. Beyoncé became a billionaire, Ryan Coogler joined the directors club of those who can carry a film off his name alone.

Taylor Paige made us ponder that, living in Derry may not be so bad and we even witnessed the end of an era in Hawkins.

Superman is back; and so is the first family of Marvel, The Fantastic Four and it’s really good!

Pedro Pascal was in every, Jonathan Bailey was the sexiest man of the year and The Paradox became your favorite bands favorite band.

We watched Taylor Swift say yes to Travis Kelce, our girl Venus Williams got married as well as Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco tied the knot.

Zendaya debuted an engagement ring at the Golden Globes from actor Tom Holland.

Malice made rap a main topic for a moment and Kendrick’s Super Bowl jeans became its own trend (yes, the jeans).

Avatar: Fire and Ash took the top spot, proving James Cameron still doesn’t miss, while the new SpongeBob Movie reminded us that childhood classics will always show up. Add Marty Supreme into the mix and the charts are giving big-budget spectacle, serious cinema, and youthful fun all at once.
