The Lancaster Farming National H**p Tour kick off event will be held at the Penn State Southeast Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Manheim, Pa.

Friends, this is my dad, Robert “Bob” Shaffer, long-time resident of Hershey. He graduated from Penn State in 1951 w/a degree in Agriculture Education & taught Vocational Agriculture at East Donegal High School 1951-1953. He died last Saturday at the age of 94. His funeral service is Friday 10/9 at 1pm at his church, Spring Creek Church of the Brethren. You are welcome to join us.

Twin Steeples Farm, Bucks County is missing their in-person County Fair.
Despite the craziness of the world we are living in, we still have freedom. I was reminded of this watching our 10-year-old grab an ear from the sweet corn patch and eating it straight from the field. A beautiful sky, a cool night, and living on our family farm in Spring Run, PA. What a blessing! We certainly don’t take it for granted!
