Breaking from the Cass County Courthouse: Bail has been set at $5,000,000 (cash only) for Joshua Hite, the man accused of killing Isadora Wengel. A preliminary hearing is set for March 11th at 9am.

More from our area court fillings this morning: Jonathan Schafbuch was charged in Becker County District Court with counterfeiting currency, fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, and theft of a firearm.

Schafbuch had allegedly attempted to pass counterfeit $100 bills at Walmart, La Barista, and the Dollar Tree in Detroit Lakes. After leading police on a brief chase, he was arrested. A search of his car found multiple sheets of uncut counterfeit $20 and $100 bills, a sheet cutter, receipts from Detroit Lakes businesses where $20 bills were passed, computers, and a large amount of cash, the complaint states.

New details on the January 10 stabbing at SkyDancer Casino, now revealing that Rigoberto Mendez-Morales called 911 that morning to report a dead woman in his room.

The FBI Affidavit says Mendez-Morales had a bloody Leatherman Multi-tool in his possession when he was detained which had blood and black hair on it consistent with the victim. He claimed that he had no memory of returning to his room and didn't know why he had blood on his pants, shirt, and multi-tool.

He is now being charged with second-degree murder in Federal Court.
