Hello ! It's been a hot minute since I've posted here or published an issue. Sometimes, life throws weird curveballs that sends your journey in a tailspin and, apparently, I am not immune to the whims of the Universe.

Some of you may have heard about the tornado that tore through the Menasha, Neenah, and Appleton area in Wisconsin. That community holds a special place in my heart because it's where I grew up and where many of my closest friends and family still call home.

I'll be heading there this week to help with disaster response and recovery efforts. Because of this, Issue 11 will go out on Monday, August 10th. Thank you so much for your understanding and grace.

I am so excited to announce that the Parkland Adventures play written by local playwright, Annie Hough, will be performed at the Moorhead Public Library on Saturday, July 25th at 4 pm and at Inspire Innovation Labs on Sunday, July 26th at 11 am.

Today is America's 250th Birthday! 🎉 Our nation has prevailed through many a destabilizing events - from wars to pandemics - we have been through it all. Times may feel a little backwards right now, but change is like the Tango, for every two steps forward there will be a step back, yet we continue moving across the dance floor. With that, while things may feel uncertain for many, we can all take solace in the fact that our nation has a history of coming out stronger after every punch! Happy Birthday, America, Home of the Brave! I hope you all have a beautiful and safe 4th. ❤️🤍💙

In case anyone is interested - the Swearing-In Ceremony will take place in the Commission Chambers at City Hall on Monday, July 6th at 5 p.m. It is open to the public!

The City of Fargo is inviting residents to a swearing-in ceremony for newly elected Mayor Josh Boschee and City Commissioners Nikkie Gullickson and Chad Peterson.
