Six selected for Men, Women of Distinction

Each year deserving men and women of the community are honored by being named Men and Women of Distinction.
This year three men and three women were honored with this esteemed award.
The three women that will be honored include: Vive Allen; Judy McCutcheon; and Tami Richey.
Representing the men will be Lee Dunlap; Marcus Jones; and Scott Miller.
“The selection committee did a fantastic job,” said Daily Times general manager Jeff Brasel. “The resumes of these individuals both professionally and philanthropically would be hard to beat in Boone County and the entire state.”
A banquet honoring the recipients will be held on July 24.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Signature Bank meeting room. Tickets for the event are $175 a table or $35 for individual tickets.
The Women of Distinction started in 2011 with the induction of eight ladies. Cathy Brandt; Deanna Evans; LaVerne Grayson; Katherine Nance: Layne Ragsdale; Glenna Regan; Sandra Reynolds; and Kim Rossen highlighted the first class.
There have been 83 women inducted into the distinquished group.
In 2015, the men started to receive honor. there have 53 men inducted.
The first class of men included: Charles Adair; Larry Brandt; Mosco Cash; Jeff Christenson; Perry Harness; Jerry Jackson; Mike Nabors; ken Reeves; and Jim Stockton.
The banquet raises funds for scholarships for future men and women of distinction. These students attend North Arkansas College.
This year’s winners are Drew Akins and Stevie Jennings.
